Success Story – Dec – Cornelius Pearson

by | Jan 27, 2023 | blog

Mr. Cornelius Pearson admitted to Restore Health and Rehab after recent hospitalization secondary to left leg amputation. This ultimately resulted in decline in function, which affected his ability to care for himself and go back home safely and independently. The Reliant Rehab team and Cornelius worked together to tailor a plan of care to meet his goals and return him back to his prior abilities. Mr. Pearson needed intensive therapy and worked hard every day showing improvement in all aspects of mobility as well as towards achieving his personal goals of re gaining his independence back. This was important to him so he could get back home to spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Pearson made excellent progress in therapy. He is very happy that he can go back home with his family before the holidays.  Mr. Pearson is able to manage getting himself up and down from various surfaces, maneuvering his wheelchair through household spaces independently and able to complete all of his self-cares as well. Congrats to Mr. Pearson and his progress to be able to return home safely!
